Notes  Martin Schiedel, "was born September 2nd, 1796. On March 17th, 1825, he was married to Susannah Ries who was born March 21st, 1796, and died December 13th, 1872. In 1825 (about a month after their marriage) they, in company with the Clemmers, Clemenses, and others, moved to Canada and settled near Breslau, Ontario, where they resided until their deaths. He died April 28th, 1863, leaving a family of eight children, viz:"
