Notes  David B. Eby, "was born August 26th, 1827. On January 21st, 1851, he was married to Lydia Bowman who was born September 10th, 1831, and died August 14th, 1882. Shortly after his marriage he moved on his father's old homestead, several miles west of the town of Waterloo where she died. After the decease of his first wife he was married, March 25th, 1884, to Mary Kercher, widow of the late Hiram Hewitt. She was born February 11th, 1853. In April 1891, they left the farm and moved to the town of Waterloo where they are still residing. To Mr. Eby and his first wife were born ten children, viz:"
