Notes  Saruch Eby, "born January 21st, 1849. When eighteen years of age he commenced to teach in our public schools. He was married to Mary Ann Hagey who was born August 2nd, 1845, and died June 15th, 1884. They had a family of six children, namely: Corena, Alvin, Addison, Milton, Arianna, and Wesley who died in 1883, a few weeks after his father. In 1881 or 1882, he, in company with his brother-in-law, Noah Haug, engaged in the woollen manufacturing business in Nottawa, Ontario. After being thus engaged for a little over a year, he took consumption and died March 21st, 1883."
