Notes  Moses Shantz, "the second son of Joseph and Catharine (Schneider) Shantz, was born August 22nd, 1819. On March 18th, 1849, he was married to Susannah, daughter of Jacob C. and Elizabeth (Cressman) Snider. She was born April 4th, 1840. Soon after their marriage they moved on the farm they still possess, his father's farm, being composed of west half of lot No. 9, German Company's Tract. Here they raised a family of twelve children, viz:"
