Notes  Simon Shantz, "was born May 15th, 1818. On March 4th, 1845, he was married to Judith, daughter of Daniel and Susannah (Kenzie) Stauffer. She was born August 1st, 1825, and died January 26th, 1862. He died December 13th, 1893. They resided in Wilmot Township, near Baden. Their family consisted of nine children, viz:"
