Notes  Moses Martin, "was born August 11th, 1832. On March 13th, 1855, he was married to Mary, daughter of John and Catharine (Sherk) Brubacher. She was born August 29th, 1836, and died March 23rd, 1859. After the decease of his first wife, he was married again to Mary Cressman who was born November 1st, 1839. In 1855 Mr. Martin moved to Woolwich Township when it was nearly all wilderness and settled on lot No. 108, German Company's Tract. This he soon cleared and had erected thereon the fine farm buildings now, together with farm, in possession of his youngest son, Moses. Here he died November 26th, 1887. His widow has since married Deacon John Nahrgang of Wilmot Township. His family consisted of three sons, two of whom were born unto his first wife, viz:"
