Notes  Christian B. Martin, "was born January 8th, 1834. On November 8th, 1859, he was married to Maria, daughter of Joseph D. and Elizabeth (Baumann) Baumann. She was born December 27th, 1839. On November 15th, 1859, he moved on his farm in Woolwich Township, being composed of part of lot No. 21, German Company's Tract. Here they resided ever since and both are quite active and healthy yet after thirty-five years of hard labor. Their family consists of seven children,..."
