Notes  Isaac Bergey, "the eldest son of old Hans Bergey, was born about the year 1740. He resided at first near Germantown, but after his marriage to Mary Hunsicker he moved to Montgomery County where quite a number of his co-religionists had already formed several small communities. Here he lived until about the year 1791 when he died. With his first wife he had three children, namely: III John, III Jacob, and Isaac. None of the descendants of the three sons reside in Canada. Their descendants are to be found in Montgomery and other counties of Pennsylvania and in some of the Western States. After the decease of his first wife he married to Veronica Hunsberger, with whom he had ten children, viz: "
