Notes  Hans Bergey, " a native of Saxony. Germany, emigrated to America shortly after the Mennonites had formed settlements in and around Germantown, Pennsylvania. He was a strict adherent to the Mennonite doctrines. Dates of his birth and death and to whom he was married could not be obtained when the writer was last to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and it is doubtful whether any records are preserved that will give us more information pertaining to this old progenitor. His family consisted of *four sons...."
