Notes  Joseph Schrg, "son of the old progenitor, was born in Switzerland and was probably four years of age when his father emigrated to America. On March 24th, 1761, he was married to Barbara Kaufmann. To them was born a numerous family of which the descendants of John, Joseph and Casper are to be found in Canada while the descendants of others are scattered over the whole of the United States and even Mexico and Alaska."
