Notes  Joseph Martin, "the seventh son of Peter and Anna (Zimmerman) Martin, was born in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, December 4th, 1811. When in his eighth year he with his parents and other members of the family moved to Canada and resided in Woolwich Township, a few miles north of Waterloo where he died March 21st, 1856. He was married to Susannah Wenger. After his death she with her family of six children moved to Michigan where she has since died. The children are as follows, viz:"
