Notes  Benjamin Snyder, "was born in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, January 15th, 1798. When a lad of eight years of age his parents moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County, Ontario, near Bloomingdale, where he was raised. On October 21st, 1823, he was married to Catharine, daughter of John Philip and Veronica (Gingerich) Saltzberger. She was born June 1st, 1806, and died January 3rd, 1869. After his marriage he moved a little to the north of Bloomingdale where he was the owner of several hundred acres of land. He died April 18th, 1861, leaving a family of thirteen children, viz:"
