Notes  Jacob Dettweiler," son of Jacob and Mary Margaret (Harley) Detweiler, was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, March 27th, 1789. He moved to Canada in 1822 and settled near Blair, Ontario. On March 11th, 1813, he was married to Mary Gottwals. She was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, May 12th, 1790, and died April 10th, 1816, leaving two children. After his first wife's decease he was married to Esther Ziegler, December 31st, 1816. She was born November 15th, 1794, and died January 23rd, 1883. He died August 7th, 1875. His family consisted of ten children, viz:"
