Notes  Samuel K. Brubacher, "son of Jacob S. and Magdalena (Shelley) Brubacher, and brother to John S. Brubacher, was born in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, October 26th, 1860. He came to Canada when quite a young man and had his home with his brother, John S. On October lst, 1882, he was married to Catharine, daughter of Thomas and Catharine (Kolb) Murphy. She was adopted by Joseph and Anna Weber when quite young. After the decease of Mr. and Mr. Weber she had her home with her step-sister, Mrs. John S. Brubacher, until her marriage. They reside on a farm two miles north of the village of Conestogo. Their family consists of six children, namely:....."
