Notes |
David W. Brubacher, "son of John and Eva (Weber) Brubacher, came to Canada in 1823 or 1824, took up lot No. 17, German Company's Tract, Woolwich Township, commenced clearing the same, and erected a log dwelling thereon. He was married to Maria, daughter of David Martin, and widow of David Martin(David Martin was a first-cousin to old Peter Martin and never resided in Canada). She was born April 3rd, 1802 and died June 5th, 1834. After her decease he became melancholy and returned to his friends in Pennsylvania where he died some time ago. He left no heirs. His farm was afterwards purchased by his brother, John W. Brubacher." |
