Henry Eby, "the youngest in the family of Samuel Eby, was born January 12th, 1825. On November 11th, 1845, he was married to Maria Bauman who was born March 2nd, 1824, and died April 19th, 1875. For some time they resided on the old homestead, but afterwards moved on a farm one mile north-east of Bridgeport, Ontario. Some eighteen years ago he moved to Berlin where his wife and two of his daughters died. Since the marriage of his daughter, Elizabeth, to Aaron B. Shantz he has made his home with her. She resides about one and one-half miles south of Berlin. He had a family of five children, viz:" |
