Martin F. Eby, "was born in Berlin, Ontario, February 23rd, 1841. In June 1863, he moved to Port Elgin, Ontario, where he opened a drug store, and has been doing a successful business ever since. He has been running the express and telegraph offices, in connection with the drug business, since 1873. He is married to Catharine Rothaermel and has a family of ten children, namely: Milton Addison, who passed a creditable examination at the Ontario College Pharmacy some years ago, is in the drug business with his father and is married to Panelope Hilbert. Franklin Alexander, resides at Greenway, Manitoba, where he is agent for the Northern Pacific and Manitoba Railroad. His former residence was Hawk Lake where he was station master for the Canadian Pacific Railroad Company for two years. He is married to Mary Thompson. Lizzie Amelia, who is at home with her parents, John Albert, who is assisting his father in the drug business, Clara Louisa, Nellie Esther, Reuben Henry, Amanda Philippina Fischer, Katy May, and Edna." |
