Notes  Elias W. Eby, "was born July 6th, 1848. He resided at South Valejo, California, U.S., until a few weeks before his death. He returned to Caledonia, Michigan, where he died at his brother Benjamin's residence, August 28th, 1883. His body was brought to Berlin, Ontario, and interred at the Eby graveyard, east of Berlin. He was not married."
