Notes  Christian Strome, "son of Jacob Strohm, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, July 14th 1778. He came to Canada in 1810 and settled in Waterloo County, near Hespeler. He was married to Mary Rutt who was born April 10th, 1776, and died June 8th, 1831. After her decease he was married to Veronica Clemens, widow of Nathan Clemens. He died May 1st, 1850. His family consisted of six children, all of his first wife. Their names are as follows:"
