Notes  Samuel S. Herner, "was born August 27th, 1843. He resides at Manheim, Ontario, where he is engaged as principal of the Manheim public school. In connection with the teaching profession he is also manager of the farm he owns near the school. He was first married to Veronica Clemens who was born August 24th, 1851, and died August 22nd, 1874. After her decease he was married to Catharine Kesselring who was born October 28th, 1857. No issue of first marriage, but of second marriage there are seven children."
