Noah Hembling, "was born in St. Andrews Parish, Suffolk County, England, and was there united in marriage with Hannah Rose. He was held in good esteem as a serviceable member of the church and emigrated to America with his wife and family in spring of 1831. Arriving at Quebec June 1st of the same year, they continued their journey to Hamilton, Ontario, then wended their way to Waterloo County and settled at Bridgeport, Ontario, where both the parents and one of the children died of cholera soon after their arrival.
