Tobias K. Shantz, "was born April 10th, 1842. He is married to Mary Moyer. They reside in Berlin where he is engaged as a book agent. His family consists of eight children, namely: V Orpheus M., born May 24th, 1864, is engaged as receiving clerk with Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co., retail dry goods dealers, Corner State and Washington Streets, Chicago, Illinois. He was married, January 30th, 1889, to Cornelia, daughter of Samuel A. and Melvina D. Flagler of Ottumwa, Iowa, and has a family of one daughter named VI Ruth, born September 30th, 1892, at Morton Park, Illinois, V Etta, V Sophia, V Austin, V Franklin, V Arthur, V Florence, and V Herbert." |
