Notes  Daniel Shantz, "was born March 30th, 1827. On October 29th, 1849, he was married to Esther C. Wismer who was born June 1st, 1826, and died November 20th, 1881. The first year after his marriage he resided in the wash-house on his father's place. The next year (1851) new buildings were erected on farm composed of part of lot No. 69, German Company's Tract, about two miles east of Bloomingdale where he resided many years. At present he resides near Bloomingdale with his daughter, Mary. To him and his wife was born a family as follows, viz:"
