Notes  Aaron E. Shantz, "was born September 9th, 1844. On March 28th, 1869, he was married to Veronica Eby who was born September 19th 1843, and died in Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 16th 1885. After her decease he was married to Fannie May Flanaghan who died a few years after their marriage. Some time after the decease of his second wife he was again married to a Mrs. Ried who died a few years ago. In spring of 1895 he was married the fourth time to Nellie Gasgone, widow of the late John Hagen. They reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he is engaged in the mercantile business. His family consisted of nine children, namely:....."
