Notes  Rev. David S. Shantz, "was born May 13th, 1854. On September 25th 1877, he was married to Susannah Elizabeth Erb who was born December 15th, 1855. He resided near Haysville, Ontario, for several years where he was engaged in farming. In 1886 he entered the ministry of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ denomination, for which body he was an ardent laborer until lately when he, owing to failing health, had to quit preaching for a short time. At present he is engaged as an evangelist, assisting in the tabernacle work. He resides on his farm again and has a family of seven children, namely:....."
