Notes  Isaac C. Shantz, "was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, July 13th, 1803. On April 3rd, 1827, he was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Christian Schneider. She was born in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, March 6th, 1806, and died December 25th, 1891. In May, 1858 he moved to Illinois, U. S., and died in Livingstone County, Illinois, September 20th, 1885. Could not obtain full information in regard to this family. The names of the six eldest of their children are as follows:"
