Notes  Jacob Reist, "the third son of Samuel and Salome (Erb) Reist, was born June 11th, 1826. On January 2nd, 1857, he was married to Rachel, daughter of Louis and Mary Ann (Heller) Haeberle. She was born October 16th, 1835. Soon after their marriage they moved on the farm where they still reside, lot No. 98, German Company's Tract, about four miles north-west of Elmira. They have a family of six children, viz:"
