Notes  Levi Clemens, "was born July 15th, 1817. He was married to Sallie, daughter of Adam and Mary (Springer) Shupe. After their marriage they moved a few miles west of Berlin, on the farm now possessed by S. Y Shantz where they resided until fall, 1861, when they moved to Leighton Township, Kent County, Michigan, where he died January 27th, 1891. To them were born four sons, Viz:"
