Notes  Christian B. Schneider, "the only son of Joseph Schneider, Jr., was born October 18th, 1824. On October 31st, 1848, he was married to Barbara, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Baumann. She was born December 11th, 1825. Some time after their marriage they moved on his father's large farm containing 448 acres which he has since purchased. He and his wife still reside on the old homestead but the large farm has been divided into three farms, the east end is possessed by his son, Joseph, the central part by his son, Franklin, and the west end with the old buildings is possessed by Israel B. Gingerich, his son-in-law. Mr. Schneider has a family of ten children, viz:"
