Notes  Peter Burkholder, "the second son of I Christian Burkholder, was born in 1748. Nothing is known of his descendants. Neither do we know anything of the three daughters of I Christian Burkholder. They were all older than the sons and may have been married and left numerous heirs but up to the present no information has been received. We shall now take up the family of the younger son."
