Notes  Jacob Bretz, "son of John and Christina (Detweiler) Bretz, was born April 24th, 1822. He was first married to Susannah Fisher who was born February 15th, 1823, and died March 12th, 1870. After his wife's decease he married again. His second wife is Margaret Voltz. She was born December 6th, 1821. At present they reside in the village of Breslau. He had a family of ten children with his first wife, viz:"
