Notes  Joseph B. Bingeman, "was born November 9th, 1847. On May 28th, 1872, he was married to Leah Hallman who was born August 30th, 1851. When a young man Mr. Bingeman was engaged as a teacher in our public schools for a number of years. In this profession he proved himself to be one of the most successful men of the county. He is well posted on all political questions of the day, a good counselor, always giving inquiring parties the most healthy advice. He is also an eloquent advocate in all questions pertaining to the vexed prohibition question causing so much uneasiness in our day. He is very much interested in our present school system and has been one of the members of the board of Trustees for the Berlin Schools for a number of years. At present he resides in the town of Berlin where he is engaged in the manufacturing of brushes. His family consists of nine children.."
