Notes  Abraham Rosenberger, "was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, at the close of the last century and came to Canada with his parents in 1801, then being a mere child. He was raised at Preston. After arriving at the age of some twenty years he was married to Nancy, daughter of Christian and Polly (Rutt)Strome. After their marriage they resided for some time on the old 'Rosenberger Farm' near Preston but later on they moved to Wilmot Township, near New Dundee. Their family consisted of nine children, viz:"
