Notes  Rev. George B. Detweiler," was born January 6th, 1846. His boyhood days were spent on his father's farm near Roseville, Ontario. When about eighteen years of age he commenced to teach school in S. S. No. 6, Waterloo County, where he taught for some time, from here he went to Roseville where he was engaged in farming. On November 27th, 1870, he was married to Harriet, daughter of Isaac B. and Anna (Wismer) Tyson. She was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, November 2nd, 1844. At present they reside near Sherkston, Welland County, Ontario, where he is the owner of a beautiful farm. They belong to the River Brethren Denomination of which body he has been ordained a minister some years ago. Up to present he has proved to be very successful in his ministerial calling. He is a good worker in the Lord's vineyard and seems to be gifted with a natural power of making many friends. His sermons are never long but always very pointed and convincing. During the time of his ministry the congregation has, on his field of labor, increased in membership. His family consists of six children, viz:"
