Notes  Rev. Jacob B. Detweiler," was born October 6th, 1844. When first married he followed farming and resided first on one of his father's farms near Roseville, then he moved on the farm now owned by Louis Schweitzer, near Bridgeport, Ontario. From here he moved to Berlin where he was engaged in the button works. Some years ago he entered the ministry of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ for which body he has been an active worker ever since and has through his labors proved to be the means of bringing souls unto Christ. In May, 1894, he moved to Didsbury, Alberta, N. W. T., Canada, where he is engaged in mission work. May the Lord crown his labors among those North West people with a glorious success in bringing souls unto Christ. On March 18th, 1866, he was married to Harriet, daughter of Jacob Y. and Barbara (Biehn) Shantz. She was born August 31st, 1844. They have no family."
