Jacob Wismer, "has a few descendants in this county, namely, Mary Moyer, a great-great-grandchild, who is married to Tobias Shantz. She is a daughter of Mary Nash and her husband, Abraham B. Moyer. Her grandfather was Abraham Nash who was married to Mary Gross. Her great-grandmother was Elizabeth, the fifth child of Jacob Wismer, who was married to Joseph Nash. (See "Wismer History"). Mary Moyer was born July 1st, 1840. On August 6th, 1863, she was married to Tobias, son of Benjamin and Lydia (Kolb) Shantz. They reside in the town of Berlin. He is a book agent. Their family consists of seven children, namely: Orpha Moyer, born May 27th, 1864, Lydia Mary Etta, born October 9th, 1866, Sophia Emma, born May 4th, 1869, Austin Tobias, born October 5th, 1871, Arthur Benjamin, born November 22nd, 1876, Florence Annie Catherine, born December 28th, 1879, and Herbert Cecil Palmer, born May 3rd, 1883."
