Notes  Noah S. Bechtel "was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, September 22nd, 1818. On March 13th, 1841, he was married to Veronica, daughter of John and Maria (Luckebihl) Christner. She was born in Upper Alsace, Germany, September 28th, 1820. Shortly after their marriage they moved on a farm a few miles north-west of St. Agatha, Wilmot Township, where they resided until 1869 when they moved about three miles south-west of New Hamburg, on lot No. 25, Block A, where they still reside. They had a family of eleven children, viz:"
