Notes  George Bechtel "was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, February 15th,, 1811. He was married to Nancy, daughter of Abram and Elizabeth (Wanner) Bechtel. They resided in various parts of this county and finally they moved to Hay Township, Huron County, where he died November 2nd, 1866. The widow was married to John Bock. They had but one son, viz:"
