Notes  Moses Reist, "the third son of David and Mary (Mosser) Reist, was born January 18th, 1834. He is a farmer and owns a beautiful farm a little south-west of Shantz Station. He is married to Catharine Shantz, a sister to his brother's (Peter) wife. She was born April 7th, 1838, and died March 22nd, 1875. They have had a family of eight children, namely: Mary Ann, married to Alexander Stauffer, Alexander (dead), Esther, married to Josiah Nahrgang, Leah, married to David Gimble, Isaac (dead), Sarah, married to Levi Snyder, David (dead), and Catharine, married to Morris May."
