Notes  Jacob C. Erb, "was born April 17th, 1850, and resides on his father's old homestead where he is engaged in farming. He was married twice, first to Elizabeth Kercher who was born September 23rd, 1851, and died April 25th, 1889, and after her decease he was married to Susannah, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hallman) Schmidt. His family consists of nine children, seven of whom were born unto his first wife. Their names are as follows:..."
