Notes  Solomon Reist, "the youngest son of David and Mary (Mosser) Reist, was born March 6th, 1853. On May 7th, 1882, he was married to Isabella, daughter of Jacob S. and Magdalena (Snyder) Snyder. She was born February, 6th, 1859. Some time during the year 1880 he commenced teaching in our public schools and taught very successfully until November 1893, when he, owing to poor health, was obliged to resign his position as principal of the Bridgeport public school. He resides about a mile from the town of Berlin where he is now engaged in gardening. His family consisted of four children, viz:"
