Notes  Joseph Souder, "son of John and Catherine (Snyder) Souder, was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, December 17th, 1822. He came to Canada in 1841 and settled in Waterloo County, near Hespeler. On March 26th, 1843, he was married to Christina Calfass. She was born March 28th, 1822. He followed farming many years but at present he and his aged partner have their home with their son, Jeremiah, who resides about two miles south of Breslau, on the old 'Clemens Farm'. To them were born ten children, viz:"
