Notes  David Scheirich, "second son of Mathias and Catharine (Mooney) Scheirich, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, December 24, 1790. He was nearly fifteen years of age when he came to Canada with his parents. In 1820 he was married to Mary Ringler. After his marriage he moved to lot No. 116, German Company's Tract, now in possession of his son, Samuel. Here she died about the year 1834. Afer her decease he was married to Elizabeth Reist who was born February 13th, 1803, and died July 22nd, 1876. He died December 15th, 1862. With his first wife he had a family of six children and with the second wife there were four children. Their names are as follows:"
