Notes  Emanuel Stauffer, "was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, October 4th, 1791. In 1816 he was married to Isabella Reid who was born March 1st, 1800. In 1826 they, with others, moved to Canada and settled on a farm a little north-east of the town of Waterloo where he died May 6th, 1844. She died November 1st, 1867. To them were born ten children, viz:"
