Notes  Daniel S. Martin, "the fourth son of Daniel and Veronica (Schneider) Martin, was born May 30th, 1838. He is a farmer and resides on his father's old homestead a little more than a mile south of St. Jacobs. On February 21st, 1860, he was married to Magdalena, daughter of Peter and Magdalena (Erb) Eby. She was born August 30th, 1840. Their family consists of nine children, (the youngest four of the family are all home with their parents and unmarried) viz:"
