Notes  Peter Niles Holm, "was born September 25th, 1808. He was a minister and bishop of the denomination known as the River Brethren. He was highly esteemed by both his and other religious denominations, and was an active worker in the cause of winning souls for the kingdom of God. He was first married to Susannah Gingerich and after her decease to Catharine Groh, widow of the late Abraham Witmer. They resided a little east of Hespeler where he died April 10th, 1883. His family consisted of four children, all of his first wife, viz:"
