Notes  Peter Wile, "son of John Wile, was a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he was born March 24th, 1823. When a young man he came to Canada and settled in Waterloo County where he was engaged as a mason, bricklayer and plasterer. On December 27th, 1855, he was married to Sarah, youngest daughter of John and Hannah (Bergey) Bingeman. She was born in Waterloo County, November 13th, 1827. They resided about two miles north-east of Bridgeport where he died January 13th, 1892. His widow still resides in their old homestead. To them were born eight children..."
