Notes  Daniel Erb, "the eldest son of Peter and Anna (Schäaeffer) Erb, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, January 11th, 1784. He, in company with his brother Peter, Benjamin Eby, Joseph Schneider, and others, came to Canada in 1807 and settled a little north of Bridgeport, Ontario, on the plantation now owned by Dilman G. Moyer and Levi P. Snyder. He was married to Barbara, daughter of John and Anna (Schowalter) Cressman. She was born May 22nd, 1786, and died October 20th, 1831. He died June 21st, 1845. To them was born a family of nine children, viz:"
