Notes  Henry Huber, "was born June 18th, 1819. He resided in the town of Berlin where he was engaged in the mercantile business which calling he chose when a young man and through his great perseverance, enterprise and ability worked up one of the largest and best paying businesses in general merchandise in the county. Mr. Huber always took a deep interest in whatever was for the welfare of the town and his name is identified with that of many good works. He was courteous and gentlemanly in bearing and highly respected by all who knew him. He died September 3rd, 1872. On July 8th, 1841, he was married to Barbara Shoemaker who was born March 8th, 1824. They resided in Berlin, on north side of Queen Street where the widow still resides. To them was born a family of six children. viz:"
