Notes  John S. Erb, "the second son of John and Magdalena Erb, was born September 4th, 1795, and was married to Polly, eldest daughter of John and Anna (Erb) Bricker. She was born September 1st, 1797, and died August 4th, 1876. They resided at Preston, Ontario, where Mr. Erb was engaged in farming for many years. He died May 19th, 1873. To them was born a family of five children, viz:"
